Up for is an antique Sharps rifle with visible Sharps patent markings, serial number 65157, long barrel, patchbox in the buttstock, and excellent overall display appeal. This is a very attractive antique Sharps with honest age, strong presence, and the kind of look collectors want in an early American military and frontier-era firearm.
 
The rifle shows a pleasing untouched antique appearance with an aged gray/brown metal patina and visible handling marks consistent with age and use. Wood has wear, scratches, impressions, and finish loss from long-term handling, but still presents well and matches the overall character of the rifle. Markings are present in multiple locations, including Sharps patent dates and barrel markings, though some are lighter than others. Patchbox is present, which is a desirable feature.
 
Included with the rifle is the vintage cartridge box and several rounds shown in the photos. These are being included as collectible display accessories only and are described exactly as pictured.
