Description:
CIVIL WAR GALLAGER BREECH-LOADING U.S. CAVALRY CARBINE CIRCA 1863. .50 caliber rifled 22” barrel. Original fron sight and rear sight missing. Lock stamped “MANUFACTURED BY/RICHARDSON & OVERMAN/PHILADA/13972” and “GALLAGER’S PATENT/JULY 17TH, 1860”. All original and matching in very good plus condition. Barrel, frame and lock assembly with old non factory blue-patina finish overall. Excellent bore and perfect working order. Original stock with moderate wear and small illegible initials on left side. Nice original example at a reasonable price.
