Description: An Early U.S. Civil War Military Issued Model 1860 Spencer Carbine Identified By Serial Number Directly To " The 19th N.Y. Cavalry, (1st N.Y. Dragons, Co. F)" In Nice Untouched Condition. Serial #45,679, all original & Complete. The carbine has nice untouched metal, markings, and edges. All of the metal on the carbine has a wonderful and natural dark brown patina on it. The wood on the carbine is very good throughout with light wear from use throughout. It has a very good action and bore. The regiment lost 126 men and 4 officers in battle. They fought the entire war in VA., and were in 96 shirmishes, and battles.These battles included, Deserted House, VA, Manassas VA, Todd's Tavern, VA, Cold harbor, VA. Trevillian Station, VA., Petersburg, Deep Bottom, Newtown, Shepherdstown, Smithfield, Opequan, Winchester, New market, Cedar Creek, Five Forks ,& Appomattos Court House VA.
