Early & Very Rare Civil War Colt Model "First Model Revolving" Sporting Rifle "Serial #19"   

Description:
An Early & Very Rare First Type Civil War Colt Model "First Model Revolving" Sporting Rifle "Serial #19" In Excellent Untouched Condition. All matching numbers. All original and complete. The barrel is 24 inches long and the bore is .40 caliber, very few made in this caliber. Only 1,000 total made from 1856-1859. The entire rifle has excellent metal, markings, and edges. The cylinder on the rifle has a very clear & full cylinder scene on it. The clear barrel address reads "COLT'S PT./1856" & "ADDRESS COL. COLT/ HARTFORD CT. USA". The barrel on the rifle retains nearly all of its original factory blue with one small area turning to a plum color in the middle of it. The frame, and hammer retain lots of their original blue with the balance fading to a natural patina. The cylinder and the rest of the gun have a nice untouched natural patina on them. The wood is excellent throughout with a nice grain and color to it. It has a very fine bore and action. This Is A Very Rare & Excellent Example Of A Colt Serial #19 "First Model Revolving Sporting Rifle". It Would Be a Fantastic Addition To Any Fine Colt Or Antique Gun Collection!
