Lindsay U.S. Model 1863 Two-Shot musket. Unusual two-shot superposed load. Approximately 1,000 made from 1863-1864. Instead of firing each individual load, the musket often fired both loads at the same time. This would result in the gun being destroyed. Musket is in excellent condition. Shows minor staining on the barrel. Stock is in great shape, no cracks in the wrist. Low serial number in the production. Due to its low survival rate, makes this a scarce Civil War musket!
