This assembled C.S. Richmond percussion musket has a medium hump lock with C.S. over Richmond, VA at the center and 1863 at the tail. The overall length is approx. 65.25"". The 40"" round 58 caliber barrel has a fair to good bore with visible rifling. The barrel has a smooth brown patina with increasing roughness toward the breech starting about at the rear sight. There are no visible barrel markings. The lock, hammer, bands, and trigger guard have a brown patina. The brass nose cap and butt plate are good. The two band stock is about good. The rear half has light usage dents and dings and a missing chip forward of the trigger guard that exposes the ramrod. The forend, from the rear band forward, is a replacement. The bands are held on by friction only. A replacement ramrod and one swivel are present. The lock functions correctly. Buy this C.S, Richmond assembled musket for about what you would pay for the lock only!
