"Civil War 5th Model Burnside Saddle Ring Carbine (AL5263) ATX
Description: "Overall length is approximately 39½". The 21" round .54 caliber barrel has a fine, bright bore with frosting in the grooves. The percussion breech loading action is actuated by the under lever which tips the breech block up for loading. The unique cone shaped percussion cartridge fits a recess in the breech block. The barrel has a smooth blue/brown patina. The action, which is marked “Model of 1864" has a smooth gray/brown patina. The buttstock is very good with use dents and dings, no chips or cracks, and two cartouches. The forend is good with use dings and dents, no chips or cracks. The hammer screw is a replacement.
