"Civil War Era Spencer repeating carbine .52 caliber (AL9716)

Description:
"

Serial No. 27967, circa 1863-1865, .52 caliber, 22"" round six groove barrel. Serial number range puts this carbine made during mid Civil War. Standard markings are faint on receiver but still legible. Metal is a dark patina with the receiver having mottled areas of discoloration. Bore is surprisingly good with minor frosting and pitting noted in the grooves. Stock has expected nicks and dings from usage. Action functions correctly.
