 Description: "NSN, circa 1850, converted to percussion by Andrew Wurfflein, .71 caliber, 37""octagonal to round barrel. One of 1200 guns for the City of Philadelphia during the civil war. Barrel and Iron parts are a dark grey patina. Barrel is marked with Prussian Eagle with ""City of Philada/A.Wurfflein"" Lock plate is marked with Prussian Eagle/ SUHL/S&C/Anchor. Stock has expected handling and usage wear with scattered dings and scratches. Prussian Eagle/ Anchor cartouche is visible and sharp.Brass furniture is a nice even patina.
