"Slotter Half Stock Percussion Rifle Made For A. J. Palter San Francisco, California (AL7124)

Description:
"Made in 1860s. 45 caliber with a 31 ½" heavy barrel. Metal has a dark patina throughout. Back action lock is engraved. Barrel is marked “SLOTTER PHILA/ MADE FOR/ A.J. PLATE/ SAN FRANCISCO" Wood is good showing a fair amount of wear. There is a crack from the lock plate screw to the barrel on the left hand side of the gun. Very Fine San Francisco Marked Half Stock Rifle by Slotter!
