Description:
Potts and Hunt operated throughout the Civil War years and sold thousands of arms to both the Confederacy and the Union. 33 inch barrel with front sight and rear folding sight. Barrel is a dark patina. Bore is good but needs some cleaning. Lock is marked, “POTTS & HUNT LONDON” in front of the hammer. A nipple guard is attached to the front of the trigger guard with a brass chain. Iron trigger guard, buttplate, barrel bands, nose cap, sling swivels & ramrod. The front barrel band has a lug for a saber bayonet. Wood is good with the usual handling dings and mars.
