1863 William Mason Cut Down Rifle Used by Adam's Express (Coach Gun)
Description: William Mason 1863 rifle cut down, that has been bored out and I suppose used as a shotgun. The piece has a Adams Express button set in the stock also has brass tacks as pictured. Very unique rifle. There is pitting on the barrel as pictured. also while the barrel was being shortened there are marking from the barrel moving in the vise. Bore appears clean no rifleing (Bored out Shotgun) US stamped on but plate. Their are 2 cartouches on the stock one is in a oval I can not make it out although it begins with an E and is below the other. 33 Inches overall 17 1/4 inch barrel. Solid piece and locks up on both clicks. Very interesting piece I would have a gunsmith check before shooting. I accept Bank Cashiers Checks and Bank Money Orders. I ship USPS Priority Mail.
