A Rare Civil War Confederate "Q" Marked Captured And Reissued "S.N.W.T.C." Model 1861 Percussion Rifle-Musket In Nice Untouched Condition. All original and complete. The musket has nice metal and markings throughout. The lock is marked very clearly, "S.N.W.T.C./FOR/MASSACHUSETTS", with An "Eagle/U.S." In front of the hammer. The rear of the lock is dated 1864. The barrel is proofed and also dated 1864. All of the metal on the musket has an even light untouched color to it. The wood is nice throughout showing light wear. There is a "Confederate Q" marking on the bottom of the stock in front of the trigger guard. This marking means the musket was confederate captured, gone over by their arsenal, and then reissued for use in the war. The gun has a fine action and bore. This Is A Fine Example Of An Original Confederate Captured And Issued "Q" Marked Civil War Model 1861 "S.N.W.T.C." Percussion Rifle Musket!
