This is marked Ballard’s Patent 1861 on the right rear barrel flat and Merwin & Bray New York on the left barrel flat. The top is marked Ball & Williams, Worcester, Mass. The 26” octagon barrel is about 7/8” flat to flat and is chambered for the 44 Extra Long Rimfire caliber. The mechanical function is very good, crisp and tight. The bore is very good, bright and shinny with strong rifling. The wood is very good and the rear tang has a flip up peep site. The serial number is 4336 and the barrel, receiver and falling block are all matching numbers. This one retains 80% original barrel finish of which is over 65% blue. It has very nice wood and metal finish. These were made 1865-1866. I would consider trades for pre 1899 ANTIQUE PISTOLS and rifles on any of my items.. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO TRADE? Ask about our 30-90 day lay-away program. We accept Bank Check, Money order, Personal checks or wire transfer.
