Description: A Very Good Example Of A Scarce & Very Desirable Civil War Confederate, Identified To "John L. Mclean, Of The Tenn. 3rd Infantry", Harpers Ferry Model 1816 Conversion Musket Dated 1832 On The Lock In Very Good Untouched Condition. All original and complete. The very musket has good metal throughout with some natural peppering on the top of the barrel near the lock and nipple area. The lock is clearly marked behind the hammer "HARPERS/FERRY/1832". and in the frontof the hammer with an "EAGLE/US". all of the metal on the musket has a dark and natural patina throughout it. The original wood is nice throughout and has carved into the left side of the forend, "J. Mclean", and on the right side "J.L.". It also has its original Inspectors cartouches on the back side. It has a tight action and nice bore in it. John L. Mclean was wounded in the civil war. Some of there battles included "Fort Donelson TN, Chickasaw Bayo MS, Murfreesboro Tenn., Raymond MS, Chickamauga GA, Dalton GA, Drewsry's Bluff VA, Jonesboro GA, and Franklin, TN." This Is A Very Good Example Of A Scarce & Very Desirable Civil War Confederate, Identified To "John L. Mclean, Of The Tenn. 3rd Infantry", Harpers Ferry Model 1816 Conversion Musket Dated 1832 On The Lock In Very Good Untouched Condition. It Has Very Good History And Was In A Very Good Collection For Many Years!
