Lock plate stamped “CROWN/VR” and “1857/TOWER”. Stock with “WD” inspector’s stamp on right side of butt over broad arrow. Very good overall with very nice deep grey metal original patina and extra nice markings. Stock with battle wear and nice old patina. Perfect working order and surprisingly excellent bore with crisp rifling. Type used by the both the North and the South during the Civil War. Nice example at a reasonable price.
