Civil War Re-enactor Confederate rifle .58 cal.

Description:
      A useful original 1861 rifle with a 32" .58 cal rifled barrel with good roiflin and mild to moderate pits and corrosion all near the muzzle.The front sight is original and the rear sight is a long range Whitworth type. The lock works well and looks like an 1861 type and the lock-plare was smoothed and had added the following stampings: MACON, GA. C.S.A. , and stock was shortened with two brass barrel bands both held with a brass screw. Comes with the correct ram-rod, and pitted butt-plate has the U.S. marking on the tang.. Would make a good summer re-enactor shooter for black -powder use only. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith  before  shooting.
