Description: 33073- CIVIL WAR TOWER ENFIELD PATTERN 1853 P1853 P53 RIFLE MUSKET DATED 1863. Very good all original an complete. 39” rifled .577 cal. barrel with British Export proofs at left breech. Lock plate stamped behind hammer with the Queen Victoria Crown and forward of it “1863/TOWER”. Original front and rear sights. Has all the original screws and sling swivels. Excellent stock with the original finish. Small very old repaired hairline at toe of butt which can barely be seen. Beautiful original smooth dark metal patina and extra crisp very clear markings. Lock in perfect working order and extra nice bore with very sharp rifling. One of the nicest Civil War Tower Enfield Rifle-Muskets we have had.
