Expertly Defarbed P53 Enfield Reproduction
Description: Not sure who did the work, but this fully defarbed P53 Enfield reproduction is outstanding in every detail. All factory markings were removed from barrel and serial number moned to underside of breech plug. Correct Birmingham proofs added to breech. Lock has correct crown and 1862 TOWER. Correct square tipped bolt screw escutcheons. Underside of barrel stamped. JOHN CLIVE, a well known barrel maker of the period. Underside of stock stamped JOSEPH WILSON and Crown JW. Wilson was one of several contractors building the rifles. Inside of lock stamped JW and AC. Barrel blued with pristine bore. Pretty sure it is unfired. Stock has very minor handling marks. This is a rifle any reenactor or N-SSA skirmisher would be proud to own. $1100 + Shipping. Payment terms available. SOLD |
