Maker is from Allegheny PA His name was William Craig high-end builder of percussion weapons died Just after the Civil War, The heavy target weapons were employed in battles by special wagons, Without provenance, I cannot say for certain this was in the Civil War, but these were used for sure. The 1 – 48 twist design for round ball or picket bullets. A little scattered surface rust detected in bore scope but mostly shiny and nothing deep, beautiful inside and out. Everything works perfect. Really fine, set triggers and really fine front and rear sites.I shot a video of me shooting it for the first time just like they did during the turkey shoots off a log. Lotta fun! Bubba needs a truck Only reason I'm selling it.
