Perkins Double Hammer 12ga Muzzleloader


Description:
A very strong, and heavy 12ga duble hammer gun made by Perkins, with lock-plated chisel engraved with a game scene, and border designs. Both hammers work well, and the exgterior metal on the damascus barrels is brown patina, and the walnut stock is complete and still has strong hand checkering on the pistol grip area. Numerous handling, field dings, and the fittings are steel, with a hardwood ram-rod  with a brass tip. Muzzle bore measures about .730". The book:CONFEDERATE SOUTHERN AGENT MARKED SHOTGUNS lists Perkins as an exporter to the south. Barrelsd are 37" long. Very very stout heavy , strong double.
