SCARCE CIVIL WAR P.S. JUSTICE MODEL 1861 BRASS MOUNTED RIFLE MUSKET. .69 cal. rifled 39” barrel with post front and rear two leaf rear sights. Barrel proofed and numbered behind sight “P/2457” as well as on barrel tang. Lock stamped “P.S. JUSTICE/PHILADA”. Brass mounts and distinctive brass patchbox. Very good overall with grey metal and nice markings. Excellent stock. Lock in working order and good bore. All original including the ramrod. Only 2174 made and delivered early in the war and with low survival rate. Scarce and very handsome example.
