Yeck-Smith Carbine--Civil War
Description: I am offering my personal Yeck Antique Firearms clone of the famous SMITH Carbine. This Yeck is a very scarce gun to ever find as Mike Yeck of Detroit,Mich was the very 1st to reproduce the SMITH...as well as a few Springfield examples. Mike was known as a Master Gunsmith & WW2 Vet. The story goes that after Mikes passing the family sold the business to Val Forget of NavyArms. Val then contacted Pietta of Italy and they struck a deal to reproduce the Smith Carbine having all the tools/blueprints etc. from Mikes firm. The one I have looks to be unfired and a 3digit serial number. Mike did NOT stamp his gun on the visible flat of the barrel...instead he stamped "Yeck Mfg. hidden by the forearm. I personally have never fired this magnificent weapon. It does shoot a cartridge of which I have 4 examples that go with this Carbine. It is a Black Powder firearm and NO FFL etc. is needed to ship in ConUSA. This weapon is compact and relatively close to a Springfield/Sharps/Maynard/Spencer carbines. Look at the photos and my VERY FAIR price and if you have any questions..I will try and answer them. This has a 3day return priveledge at your expense providing the gun is NOT fired....as it was before I shipped it.NOTE: You can search Mike Yeck on the internet search engine. SOLD Antique: Yes |
