"Scarce Colt 1855 Revolving Musket .64 caliber (AC655)

Serial No. 51, circa 1856, .64 caliber, 30.625"" rifled barrel. This particular example were assigned to Berdans 1st and 2nd Sharpshooters, and weren't liked by the sharpshooters. The 100 guns were then issued to the Navy for action on the Western river campaigns. Nice sharp gun with a smooth brown patina noted throughout. Stock is good with minor scratches and dings visible. Handsome rifling is present with minor oxidation and frosting noted in the grooves. Scarce Civil War rifle to improve on
