25½ inch octagon barrel. Bore is about good, near bright with light roughness scattered throughout. Full length magazine. Original sights. Overall metal surfaces appear a thinning brown with traces of blue in protected areas. Mechanically sound, everything woks as it should. Walnut stocks have been freshened up showing smooth surface with repaired cracks. There were 3,810 Colt-Burgess rifles manufactured 1883 - 1885 and only 2,556 rifles with octagon barrels. Nice example of a hard to find lever action rifle.
