COLT LIGHTNING SLIDE ACTION RIFLE IN CALIBER 44
Description: Standard configuration rifle with 26 inch round bbl, full magazine and rifle butt. This is a fine example with most of the beautiful Colt blue intact and most of the fire blue remaining on the screws. Looks just as good on the inside with a fantastic bore. Most original blue thinning remains on barrel and mag tube. Receiver has most original blue with a few spots of flaking and some slight oxidation. Case colors present on hammer. Crisp action. This is the later style with the smooth grip handle. Orig sights. Sharp markings. Some dings and handling mars on the wood. Originally an export gun with British proof marks.
