Exceptional Colt Model 1855 British Type Revolving Carbine

Description:
This is an exceptional example of the scarce and difficult to find Colt British Type Carbine, out of all the British proofed Colts out there, this is by far the most desirable of them all. These examples are extremely scarce and to find one with most of its original finish is a much more difficult feat to accomplish. I am fortunate to be able to present to my clientele an absolutely exceptional example. This example shows a beautiful wood stock still showing original “feathering”. The frame, cylinder, and barrel all retain most of their original blue finish. The frame showing around 95% blue, the barrel showing 80%, and the cylinder showing 95% blue as well. The hammer shows patterns of the original color case hardened finish showing approximately 90%. The brass buttplate and trigger guard show an untouched golden patina that adds to the lovely appearance the entire gun has. Mechanically excellent. The cylinder chambers show original blue still present with the bore being exceptional condition also. Serial number 11926, All serial numbers match throughout. This is an absolutely outstanding example of these scarce Colt Carbines. This example has not been through an like the few High conditioned examples have. This is a fresh to market example!
