Description:
"SN: LE376748. Modern production, 5.56mm with a 16"" barrel. Bore is bright with strong visible rifling. Rare Mexican Police & Military contract carbine in with a front sight post, Magpul MBUS rear sight, Magpul furniture. Receiver has ""S.D.N. Mexico D.F."" roll mark on the right of the magwell. Near excellent condition overall. Comes with box and extra magazine. These were intended for export to Mexico Defense Ministry & Police Force. After Colt completed manufacturing for the production run, the contract was canceled before any of the rifles was exported. An estimated 2,500 units were diverted and sold to the U.S. commercial market, making them desirable for surplus & tactical rifle collectors.
