Colt AR6320 Lightweight Special Order Carbine 5.56 MM. Only 297 Manufactured.
Description: This carbine was manufactured by Colt and shipped in 2002 as an AR6320, and is said by some to be Colt's very first special order manufacturing run. The model number is not a typographical error. Look on You Tube for a description of this very rare model. Many collectors have no knowledge of this model, of which 300 were ordered, but only 297 delivered. It features a unique upper receiver with "A-1" raised lettering above the ejection port. The model also featured A1 sights that were reportedly designed pursuant to a police department special need because they didn't want officers "fiddling" with the adjustable A2 sights. It's HIGHLY unusual to find an A1 sight on a receiver with a brass deflector. Other features that stand out from the rest of that era's production is the marking of "C MP 5.56 NATO 1/9" on an A-1 pencil barrel with a bayonet lug. The lower receiver is restricted to LE/military/government/export ownership and use and is marked on the left side as an AR-15 Lightweight receiver with Colt's logo and manufacturing address. There is some discussion on the internet about the originality of the fixed stock on this model. Some say it isn't and some say it is. Personally, I can't see why a police department would order guns that are wearing fourth generation Colt stocks, and then turn around and take the brand new stocks off and put fixed stocks on in their place. For me, even if there was a swap of stocks, that's part of the history of these special order guns and ALL of the other features that makes them special are present on this carbine, plus, it is in pristine condition. Please review the photos carefully, as they are an integral part of the description. I have five additional photos that I couldn't upload to this site, so just ask and I'll send them. FFL required. Buyer to pay shipping and insurance. USPS money orders or cashier's check only, please. One 20-round magazine comes with the firearm, except if it is going into a location where magazines with a capacity of more than ten rounds are banned or otherwise restricted, no magazine will be included in the shipment. No returns, since such policies invite part swapping, which I want no part of. Thanks for looking.
