Colt M4 Carbine LE6920 5.56 mm NATO Excellent Condition
Description:
This is a previously-owned example of the civilian version of the Colt M4 Carbine. The specific model is the LE6920. It is chambered for the universal 5.56 NATO round. It uses standard AR-15 furniture with respect to the handguards, front sight, collapsing stock, and pistol grip. However, the rear sight is a MAGPUL Gen 2 Back-Up Sight (MBUS) rather than the detachable A2 style. You may notice the MBUS is not mounted in the rear-most picatinny slot. It is mounted this way at the factory because it is felt that mounting the sight that far back would put it too close to the charging handle making it hard for someone to get a grip on it and charge the rifle. This is precisely why extended charging handles were created. It is highly recommended to install one of these and mount the MBUS as far back as it can be mounted. Remember, the longer the sight radius (the distance between front and rear sights), the more accurate the rifle will be, especially at longer ranges. The free-floating barrel is 16.1” long and mad of high-quality 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel. It uses a 1:7” twist for stabilizing bullets from 55gr up to 77gr in weight. The bore is also chrome-lined which protects the bore from corrosion over long periods without cleaning, should this become necessary. The accuracy of the Colt LE6920 is well noted. With good ammo the rifle is known to be capable of making nearly 1 MOA shots at 100 yards. The LE6920 is certainly a fine example of the AR15 and would serve its owner well. As mentioned, the rifle is previously owned. It has been fired very little as evidenced by the little bit of brass residue on the cartridge deflector. Had it seen more use, the amount of brass residue would be much greater. The bolt itself is clean with little evidence of unburnt powder or gunk on it. The bore is also very clean. Unfortunately, the A2 flash hider forces me to keep the camera far away enough to take a picture with a good view of the bore itself. I apologize for the poor quality of the photo. The rifle does not come with a box. It does have a nicesling. The magazine is not original to the rifle and is manufactured by Palmetto State Armory.

As mentioned, the rifle is previously owned. It has been fired very little as evidenced by the little bit of brass residue on the cartridge deflector. Had it seen more use, the amount of brass residue would be much greater. The bolt itself is clean with little evidence of unburnt powder or gunk on it. The bore is also very clean. Unfortunately, the A2 flash hider forces me to keep the camera far away enough to take a picture with a good view of the bore itself. I apologize for the poor quality of the photo. The rifle does not come with a box. It does have a nicesling. The magazine is not original to the rifle and is manufactured by Palmetto State Armory.
