It features both blade front and folding ladder rear sights, crisp two-line address and Elliot’s patent markings on the barrel, and “44 Cal.” boldly on the left side, with the iconic Rampant Colt emblem displayed on the receiver ahead of its saddle ring. Adding to its collectible appeal, this carbine sports a full set of British proof marks, such as the “crown/V” and “crown/GP,” the “rampant lion,” and an inverted “.420,” testifying to its time overseas. Very fine, with 75% plus original blue finish, showing areas of spotting, brown patina, edge wear and minor dings and handling marks. The stock is very fine, with some dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
