Description: Colt 1883 Burgess “RARE” Baby Carbine Shipped to Texas, Cal. 44-40, Barrel 20”, 5% Nickel gun mostly patina. The bore is dark, Manufactured in Hartford Connecticut 1884 mostly this is a patina gun very little nickel left on gun it is well used gun, the bore is dark and he might cleanup some, stock looks like it might’ve been sanded a long time ago, the forearm has a small little split in it you can see these things in the pictures. These guns have been known to been used by the Texas Rangers. Mechanically it seems to be fine everything is working a little bit of the Colt address on the barrel you can see and you cannot see any of the horsey on the left side of the frame, you almost rarely ever see a Baby Burgess Carbine for sale. This comes with a factory letter it was shipped to J.B. Mitchell Company in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 4, 1884 in a 10 gun shipment.
