Anschutz 1907 1914 rifle, laminated stock, complete
Description: The barreled action in the top 0.5% of Anschutz production for accuracy is combined with a laminated stock using a specific geometry that suppresses back-transfer of vibration from the stock to the barrel after firing. As a result, the overall rifle accuracy is superb. The resultant artistry also is striking, but this rifle was selected due to its basic accuracy. Anschutz 1907/1914 rifle with laminated wood stock. Unusually high accuracy for the barreled action, further improved in actual use by the geometry of the laminated stock. Complete with sights, butt plate, hand stop, fore-end rest, etc. Additional old stype butt plate included at this price, but can be deleted for reduced price. Limited competition use (in Germany) in the past. One of the more accurate Anschutz rifles ever made, in part due to the stock. For those wishing a rifle with the weight shifted to the user, please see the FWB 2602 also listed. Accuracy is only slightly less than this rifle, and the stock has a reasonable range of adjustment. Returnable if accuracy is not as desired. Includes original sights. More accurate than the FWB 2602 that is offered, but not by much. The rifle design is heavier at the front end than the 2602, but the standard barrel length is more accurate at 100 meters or thereabouts. Minimal if any wear to the bolt and chamber area or trigger. Past the usual break-in perio needed for full accuracy to be achieved. This pattern stock (colored, laminated) was quite rare in the US imported guns. This one was made for the German market, and has importer marks from when I brought it in over a decade ago. The laminated stock generally gives better accuracy than either solid wood or metal stocks, due to suppression of vibration coupling. Metal stocks by Anschutz, Keppeler, and others are available for this rifle. Except for those from Keppeler, those generally result in reduced accuracy compared to the stock provided with this rifle. Shipping is extra, around $100 to most locations. Available for local pickup. While G-Intl has a default 3 day inspection period, generally sufficient time for accuracy testing will be allowed for buyer approval. This will vary depending on location of buyer. Price listed includes the second NOS butt plate illustrated, which can be deleted for price reduction. Also sights, tools shown are included. Test target is from this rifle. This rifle is not as accurate as the National Team KK200 listed, but at least is close. As illustrated in the images, there are some very small dings and areas of finish loss on the stock, and front sight tunnel. Selection Guide and Suggestions: Several target (or extremely accurate field) rifles are offered. All are at, or better than 0.4 MOA accuracy, which is better than most field rifles, and more than enough for most standard competitions. The choice between rifles can be difficult. This outline or guide might help. In the lists that follow, the rifles are listed in descending order of what is best for the quality cited: This list is specific to the particular rifle offered. Many of these are special production, not standard commercial models. For this reason, the following relative ratings may not be applicable to standard commercial versions of these rifles. Many Anschutz front rail accessories fit the KK-200 stocks without modification. The GX-1 stock accessories generally can transfer to the older Walther rifles, such as the JR and KKM. The JR uses a different sight system for Palma type use. Rifle Caliber: .22 Long Rifle Manufacturer: Anschutz Model: 1907 rifle Stock: 1914 Price: $3,950.00 Contact Seller |
