A very clean CVA Hawken marked heavy octagonal barrel 1.060" dia, 10" long with a clean rifled .50 cal.bore. The stock has been finished in dark walnut color like a 19th centiry postol , And the action works very well. Lock-plate and hammer are both colot case hardened, and the rear sight is much like a long range sight found on TC rifleses with a hard wood ram-rod with btass tip.And the butt-plate is engraved designs . Overall a very nice gun.
