Cooper .17 CCM Single Shot Varmint WIth A Box of Factory Brass
Description: SOLD PENDING FUNDS. In the many years of owning, shooting and looking at Cooper rifles, this is the only single shot .17 CCM in Varmint configuration I have ever seen. It has a pretty special serial number - DLC5. I'm pretty sure this indicates Daniel L Cooper, rifle number 5. I've not contacted Cooper to see how many single shots they made in .17 CCM, but I bet it wasn't many. Many folks are put off of the .17 and .22 CCM rifles because they think they can't find dies or brass. If you want a set of dies contact CH4D in Ohio and they will make you a set for a reasonable price. They are great dies. If you need brass, Steve Schroeder makes runs based on demand. I have his cell phone number. This rifle has been shot, but not much. There are some handling marks in the stock, but nothing that will make your stomach churn. The bore is pristine. These little rifles have three locking lugs. Since you hand load for them, you can work up very accurate loads. Cooper is known for their accuracy and these little sweethearts will typically print little bug holes. The last picture shows a .17 CCM cartridge next to a .22 Hornet, it's parent cartridge, so to speak. 50 virgin rounds of brass in the factory box. The dark mark on the right side of the barrel near the receiver is hardly noticeable in person. You can't feel it. The angle of the sun on the matt barrel finish makes it really stand out. In person, it won't be enough to distract from the rifle's looks. I do not have an FFL. Check with your dealer to see if he will accept the rifle from an individual. I provide a copy of my driver's license for his records. I they require the rifle be shipped from an FFL I have to pay my fellow $20 to do the transfer. That will be in addition to the shipping charge. Shipping will be $35 east of the Mississippi and $45 west of it. SOLD Rifle Caliber: .17 CCM Manufacturer: Cooper Model: 38 Serial Number: DLC5 Barrel Length: 22.5 Condition: Excellent Metal Condition: Excellent Wood Condition: Very Good Bore Condition: Excellent Barrel Type: Stainless Action: Steel Triggers: Adjustable |
