Cooper Firearms Model 40 in 22 Hornet with a 24" heavy tapered barrel without sights. The left side of the barrel is marked "Cooper Firearms Inc, Stevensville, Mt. USA" and "22 HNT". The left side of the frame is marked with the serial number "R145" and "Cooper Firearms Model 40". The Model 40 was introduced in 1995 with a 3-mid locking lug bolt body that was designed around the 22 Hornet cartridge, The Cooper Model 40 is very hard to find as not a lot of them were made in the 2-year span. The stock is a one piece high grade checkered walnut with a shadowline cheekpiece, wrap around point pattern checkering, ebony forend tip, steel grip cap, sling eyes front and rear, and a nicely checkered steel butt plate. This Cooper remains in excellent condition, showing minimal use. This gun has no box, but comes with a single flush magazine. .22 Hornet
