Description: Al Biesen custom Winchester pre-64 Model 70 .375 H&H Magnum. Based on a magnum-length action, serial 339413 has a 23-inch custom barrel (.685-inch muzzle diameter, recessed crown, banded sling swivel stud, second recoil lug at the forearm's midpoint). Features include a jeweled bolt body/extractor/follower, checkered bolt knob (two teardrop panels), reshaped and checkered bolt release button, tuned trigger and custom steel bottom metal. WOOD: Stocked from a bold-figured blank, appointments include an ebony forend tip with widow's peak, extraordinary 26 lines-per-inch wrapping borderless checkering (including a grip-top island and side flares), scalloped cheek rest with a shadow line, skeleton grip cap, inletted sling swivel stud and a Pachmayr Old English recoil pad. Metal finish is an elegant rust blue. ATTRIBUTIONS: Both barrel and stock are marked "Al Biesen". CAPACITY: Four rounds (three plus one, the fourth round being a single load with "snap over"). Feeding, extraction and ejection are smooth and positive). Leupold scalloped bases (for rotary/dovetail rings) are attached. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 8.0 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.4 inches over the attached thin (.75-inch including base plate) pad. ACCURACY: Included three-shot test targets bear witness to repeated sub-MOA performance with 260-grain Nosler Partitions.
