Description:
22" tapered round barrel with full-band detented-hooded front sight, full-band swivel base, quarter rib with 1 standing and 1 folding leaf rear sight. Figured English walnut stock with slender ridgelined forend, classic borderless point-pattern checkering, skeleton pistol grip cap, classic comb,  double-beaded pancake cheekpiece, inletted rear swivel base and widow's-peaked skeleton buttplate. Stock carved and ivory floral scroll inlaid astride action, on cheekpiece and right side of buttstock, within grip cap and buttplate. Extensively engraved and gold inlaid by Brian Hochstrat on front sight, quarter rib, action, cocking piece, bottom metal, grip cap and buttplate---and with pronghorn antelope inlaid in gold on floorplate. Swedish G38/50 Mauser action with widow's-peaked rear tang, jeweled bolt and follower, 2-panel checkered bolt knob, Mauser Oberndorf-type bolt stop, Model 70-type safety, widow's-peaked bottom metal with hinged lever-release floorplate, double-set triggers, and widow's-peaked shotgun-type triggerguard. Metalwork and rust blue by Dave Norin. Pull: 15". Weight: 8lbs, 2oz. Pictured in Bleile's, American Engravers III, p 126; 2014 Gun Digest Annual, p 106; and ACGG Gunmaker, No.142, p 21.
