#240859, Al Biesen Gunmaker Spokane, Wn: A Total Custom by Al Biesen in 270 Winchester on a Winchester Pre-War Model 70 Action, The action was made in 1953, 22" barrel without any open sights, The barrel profile is that of a Pre-64 Featherweight by Winchester, Sling eye on the barrel, 2 piece Redfield/Leupold profiled scope bases, Blackburn straddle hinged floorplate with a center bow release, A 3-position Model 70 wing safety, Four panel teardrop bolt knob checkering, Model 70 trigger, Jeweled bolt and follower, Action rails inside and out are polished, Built-up & checkered bolt stop release, A pure Biesen Custom Classic style stock, Biesen classic full wrap around Fleur-De-Lis checkering with a fairly deep recess, Shadowline cheekpiece, Ebony forend tip, 2 screw rear sling eye, Engraved skeleton grip cap with wood checkering, 13 7/8" LOP over an Engraved skeleton buttplate with wood checkering, 7 lbs. 4 oz., The bore is as new, An excellent piece of wood with excellent color and black/brown contrast, The original Biesen blue remains at 99%, The original stock finish at 98%, The checkering is at 100%, This piece is totally like the day it left the Biesen shop. I have had my share of Biesen rifles and this is classic Al Biesen with excellent inletting.
