Based on an FN Mauser 98 action, serial 34253 has a 23-inch barrel (banded and hooded front sight assembly with brass-beaded blade and flip-up moon, banded sling swivel stud, quarter rib with fixed and folding express blades marked 50/200). Features include a custom square bridge action, jeweled bolt body, custom bolt handle with checkered knob (five bordered panels), custom shroud with three-position safety, extended tangs, Blackburn drop box bottom metal and a rust blue finish. STOCK: Shaped from a superlative exhibition English blank with dark full-length figure, formalities include an ebony forend tip with widow's peak, fine wrap checkering over flowing ribbons and elegant fleurs, double crossbolts, pedestalled bolt release, palm swell, scalloped cheek rest with shadow line, rotating grip cap, screwless toe line stud with oval plate, leather-wrapped recoil pad and a satin finish. OPTIC: A Swarovski Z8i 1-8x24 (illuminated dot and circle) is mounted in Talley quick release bases. Scope condition borders pristine. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with optic) is 10.6 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.9 inches. CAPACITY: Four rounds. Magazine capacity is three rounds. The fourth round feeds when positioned above the rounds in the magazine and compressed so the extractor can slide over the rim. The extractor does not “snap over” rounds dropped into the chamber. CONDITION: Metal and wood finishes are each approximately 99 percent with only minimal indications of handling. AMMUNITION: Forty rounds of Extreme Custom Ammunition (20 rounds Woodleigh 535-grain Protected Point and 20 rounds of Woodleigh 535-grain FMJ) are included. No case or papers.
