Caboth Mauser .375 H&H
Description: Full custom .375 H&H Mauser by Dave Caboth previously of Anchorage, Alaska and now of Alta, Iowa. Built on a Mauser action with TIG welded Single Square Bridge. 26" barrel with ramp front sight, sling swivel eye, and island rear sight with one standing and one folding leaves. Single Square Bridge rear reciever ring with checkered top surface. Mauser flag safety. Oberndorf style bolt handle. Blackburn drop box bottom metal with straddle floorplate and trigger bow release. Blackburn trigger. Never drilled and tapped. Stocked in the English style with a very nice piece of English Walnut with pancake cheekpiece, steel grip cap, and ebony forend tip. Point pattern checkering with mullered border that wraps the forend. Checkering done by Gary Goudy. 14" LOP over a Decelerator pad. 8 lb 70z Mr. Caboth is a master machinist no longer working in the gun trade. He trained at the Colorado School of Trades and taught there for several years. He was involved with stock design for both Dakota and Hein. This piece remains new from the maker.
