Description:
26" tapered round barrel. Fully figured European walnut, pillar-bedded stock with widow's-peaked ebony forend tip, borderless wrap-around fleur-de-lys checkering, skeleton pistol grip cap---checkered within, classic comb, beaded cheekpiece, inletted and pedestalled swivel bases, and leather-covered recoil pad. DWM Mauser action with jeweled bolt, rosette engraved bolt knob, Model 70-type safety, Timney trigger and Wisner bottom metal with hinged straddle floorplate and release inside triggerguard. Leupold Vari-X III 1.75-6x32mm E scope with fine duplex reticle on Talley quick-detachable mounts. Extensively engraved by Roger Kehr: a stalking bear on the floorplate surrounded with scroll; scroll on triggerguard, receiver, cocking piece, grip cap, and scope mounts. Engraved SD SCI 2004 at tip of floorplate, KEHR on forward end of bottom metal and signed Banovich on wood just beside. Pull: 13 1/2". Weight: 9lbs, 5oz. 99%blue.
