Custom Al Biesen Model 70 Pre-64 in .300 Win Mag

This beautiful and tastefully built Winchester Model 70 was built by the famous Al Biesen gunsmith sometime in the late1960's or 1970's for my late father.  It was used by him to take just about every species of big game animal in North America.  My father was a regionally well-known professional hunter, fisherman, businessman, and outdoor writer from North Idaho, and Al Biesen was his preferred gunsmith, being only 70 miles away from his home.

I do not know much about custom rifles, or the particulars of this one.  Most of my father's rifles were used in the pursuit of big game all over the Western US, Alaska, Canada, Africa, and Siberia. As such, all of his rifles show honest wear and a few scuffs and dings from being in scabbards on horseback, in bush planes, and slung over his back while pursuing his prey in the roughest of territory.

However, this rifle shows very minimal wear with some thinning of finish on the floorplate edges and tip of the muzzle.  There are just a couple of very minor imperfections in the wood, and no damage to the hand-checkering.  The action is butter smooth and trigger is light and crisp.  I have fired it and confirmed it functions flawlessly.  The only defect I have discovered is that the magazine floorplate does not release.  It appears undamaged and in perfect condition, but it won't release.

The rifle is equipped with Redfield open sights, Leupold quick release scope bases, jeweled bolt handle, pre-64 action smoothed by Mr. Biesen, ribbed adjustable trigger, and a beautiful custom Al Biesen stock in very good condition. 

I am not an expert on custom rifles, as the most I've spent on a hunting rifle before my dad passed was $500.  If there are other features or specifications that you see in the photos that should be noted, please let me know.  I try to be as honest and fair as possible, so please alert me to any discrepencies you see or possible misinformation.
