Custom pre-64 model 70 chambered in 376 Steyr with dies & brass.

Description:

Great rifle built for serious hunting in Alaska and Africa. a 1950 Vintage M70 action rebarreled to 376 Steyr with a Griffin & Howe side mount. Peep sight for backup, (lacks slide). Beautiful custom stock with shadow line cheek piece, 22 inch barrel with a 13 5/8 inch pull over solid English style recoil pad. The 376 Steyr cartridge is a powerhouse just short of the great 375 H&H. shoots a 270 grain 375 caliber bullet at 2600 fps with over 4000 pounds of energy. Hornady loads for it with 225 and 270 grain bullets. This rifle was test fired when completed and has not been fired since. $1998 plus $55 insured shipping. Lay-a-way available, no credit cards and no trades. C&R ok. Includes 50 new cases and unused reloading dies. Custom stock cost more than I'm asking for complete rifle. 
A good gunsmith could rechamber it to 375 Ruger if more to your taste.
