Description:
This rifle started out as a KS Mountain Rifle from the Remington Custom Shop. Answer Products and Hill Country Rifles were both involved in making it into a custom rifle, where the action was slicked, the trigger worked, a Lothar Walther 26" hand-lapped barrel, a decellerator recoil pad and an Answer Muzzle Brake were installed. The barrel was not shortened when the brake was added. The rifle was also accurized when completed. It is chambered in the awesome 300 RUM caliber.
I bought the rifle from a collection where the owner had many rifles by Jarrett, GAP, HS Precision, McWhorter and other top makers. I haven't shot the rifle, but I'm sure it's at least a 1/2" shooter based on its pedigree.
The rifle weights just shy of 6 1/2 lbs, and LOP is factory standard. I also have a Leupold 4-12 matching silver scope with an elevation target turret that I'll make available to the buyer for $250 if requested. Bases and 1" silver matte rings will be included in the sale of the rifle.
