Beautiful custom German sporting rifle chambered in .270 Win. The top of the barrel is marked "Waffen DSchulnigg Salzburg Austria". Likely circa 50's or early 60's, this rifle is a real piece of work and balances superbly. Mounted on top in German QD mounts is a Kahles/Wein Helia 4x scope. Heavy duplex reticle down from the center and left/right, thin crosshair going up from the center. Floorplate, trigger guard and bolt all hand engraved with game scenes. Hand checkered walnut stock is free of cracks or other detracting dings or damage. Set triggers as well. Optics are clear, 24" barrel, the bore is excellent. Blue is deep and excellent overall. Very little wear here. Pachmayr Gun Works buttpad. Workmanship is just super in the custom German sporting rifle tradition. Pictures do not do this rifle justice.
