Stocked by Al Biesen (stamped inside the forearm), the AAA-grade walnut stock is dressed with an ebony forend tip, 26 lines-per-inch wrap checkering featuring open diamonds and ribbons, dynamic Monte Carlo comb line, scalloped check rest with shadow line, checkered steel grip cap and a checkered steel butt plate with widow's peak. The 24-inch barrel has a .705-inch muzzle diameter. ENGRAVING: Attribed to Jaeger (Germany), the action showcases deep full coverage game scenes (marmot on right, raptor on left, fox on the lever) supported by wonderfully detailed floral and vine. The theme extends over the chamber and along the forearm, reappears at the muzzle with gold wire accents and rolls over the mounts. "REM-222" appears over the chamber in gold. OPTIC: A period Stith / Kollmorgen 6x with straight "crosshair" reticle is positioned in the mounts. (Scope main tube diameter is 1.027 inches and the objective diameter is 1.805 inches. Lens coatings are very good, mild internal film is present and it remains optically quite clear). DIMENSIONS: Weight is 9.2 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.6 inches.
