Custom bolt action rifle marked "DALE W GOENS" on barrel, chambered in 223 Remington. (Dale Goens was a nationally known custom stock maker who retired in 2000, and passed away 2005). Features blued finish, 24" round tapered barrel, 13-1/4" length of pull, engraved receiver and bottom metal, gold color accent trigger, hinged floorplate, manual safety. Engraving is scroll pattern along sides of receiver and on triggerguard, with ram's head in profile on floor plate, surrounded by vine & leaf pattern border. Bolt knob is checkered top and bottom. Wood is fancy figured walnut with intermittent fiddle pattern concentrated on show side of butt. American classic styled stock features checkering at forend and wrist of pistol grip, right hand cheek piece with shadow line, steel grip cap, curved Niedner style checkered blued steel buttplate. Bore is excellent condition; needs a normal cleaning. Blue is 99% with few handling marks. Stock is in excellent condition with no signs of use.
