Goens #941 - 30-06 Classic Custom Stocked Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Made by Goens About 1986, The barreled action was made in 1961, Original Winchester 22" Featherweight factory barrel, Adjustable folding rear sight, Front ramp with the sight protector, Redfield 1 piece base with 1" rings, Original Model 70 floorplate with a custom profiled trigger guard bow with a center bow release, A 3-position Model 70 wing safety, Four panel teardrop bolt knob checkering, Built up & checkered bolt stop release, Model 70 trigger, Jeweled bolt and follower, Goens classic stock on an Excellent piece of English Walnut, Classic Goens wrap around Fleur-de-lis checkering pattern with a different border on the forend, Shadowline cheekpiece, Ebony forend tip, Sling eyes on the stock, Steel engraved grip cap with a gold border around superb floral engraving, 14" LOP over a 5/8" pad and will go 14 1/2" with a 1" pad installed, 7 lbs. 12 oz., The original Goens blue remains at 99%, The original stock finish at 99%, The checkering is at 100%, The bore looks brand new. It appears to me that everything here is unfired, even when it was still a Model 70 Featherweight, and as a Goens custom it looks totally unfired and unused from the day Goens finished it.
