Full custom .416 Remington Magnum by Sterling Davenport of Tuscon, AZ built on a modern Model 70 Classic controlled round feed action. 24" barrel with hooded ramp front sight, banded sling stud, and quarter rib with single standing leaf. Added barrel recoil lug. Two panel bolt knob checkering. Blackburn drop box bottom metal with straddle floorplate and trigger bow release. Stocked in dense English Walnut, fairly straight grained as a big bore should be, with darkly contrasting mineral streaks. American Classic stock style with Fleur-de Lis checkering that wraps the forend and is up and over on the grip. Shadow line cheekpiece. Skeleton grip cap. Two screw inletted rear sling stud. Ebony forend tip. Double crossbolts with ebony caps. 13 3/4" LOP to a Decelerator pad. 9lb 1oz Mr. Davenport has been a stallwart of American custom gunmaking for many years. He is a hunter.
